Finalists for the 2010 APSCo Staffing Industry Awards

??The shortlisted companies will attend a Q&A session with judging panel, which will decide the winners following face-to-face interviews. The winners will be presented with their awards at the APSCo Charity Ball, in aid of ChildLine. Over 500 recruitment industry executives are expected to attend the Ball.

London, 14 October 2010: The judging panel will be chaired by Les Clarke, a veteran of the recruitment industry with over 30 years of experience. Clarke co-founded Eurosoft Solutions, which was sold to Parity Plc in 1995.

The 'Recruitment Company of the Year' award will be judged by Derek McAllan, Partner at KPMG who heads up the firm's recruitment sector practice, Philip McMullan, former editor of Recruiter Magazine and Recruitment Consultant and Katie Folwell-Davies from Deloitte's recruitment practice.

The judging panel for Innovator and Sector Service Provider of the Year awards will consist of Paul Saunders, a former director of commercial finance at Lloyds TSB, Martin Reed, MD of Thomas International and Godfrey Morrell, an IT recruitment expert with over 25 years experience and founder of Abraxas (Now Randstad IT). Abraxas was one of the original founding companies of APSCo. Godfrey served on the APSCo executive committee from 2005-07, chairing it in 2008.

Marilyn Davidson, Director of APSCo, comments: "All our finalists have been selected in recognition of their superb work over the last twelve months. We had a record number of submissions this year and the standard of the entries was very high, which should give our judges plenty to think about."

"All finalists have demonstrated excellence in their particular field and should all be immensely proud of the work they have put in, particularly considering what a tough year it has been for the recruitment sector."
