London, 25 June 2012: This award was open to businesses with a turnover of between £20m and £100m per annum. The judges were looking for a recruitment business that knows its objectives, has a strong team ethos, looks after its staff through opportunities and training and understands the requirements of its clients and candidates by showing exceptional sector knowledge. The social responsibility aspects of the business were also highly regarded.
Specifically, they were looking for a business whose staff are recognised for their success and developed if expectations are not met, and all teams involved in some form of decision making which affects company policy and an open door to the senior management from trainees upwards. How the business improves the reputation of the industry was also a key factor while still maintaining profitability. In addition, connecting with candidates, harnessing the latest recruitment technologies (social networking, Bluetooth, messaging) and looking for businesses who are attracting through an exceptional website. And finally they were keen to see evidence of customer satisfaction.
