Onboarding Administrator

As Onboarding Administrator, Christie supports our Contractor Management Lead in managing the end to end referral process for all our contractors. 

“I started my career in recruitment as a Resourcer, and joined SSR in September 2017 to take on this new role. What appealed to me was the wide scope; looking after contractors from the point of offer and ensuring their onboarding process runs as smoothly as possible. I also saw the potential to have a long career ahead of me with the organisation.

My first six months has flown by! Whilst there is no typical day working in the Onboarding team, one thing that is certain is that it is always extremely busy! My role is very fast paced and requires a high level of organisation and communication skills, as you can be dealing with numerous contractors at one time. Although it can sometimes feel very admin heavy, it is so much more than that. I have really been pushed out of my comfort zone and in a role now which allows me to continue to develop my skills.

“Every day we are handling calls and queries from contractors across all our client base, as it’s our responsibility to keep managers updated on the status of all our referrals. Teamwork is really important and we work very closely with colleagues in our Noida team to ensure that all our contractor screening is completed in line with their start dates, so that the process is as smooth as possible.

One thing I especially love about my role is the sense of satisfaction when a contractor we have been supporting starts in their new role. It is especially rewarding when the compliance process has proved tricky, which does happen occasionally!

I mentioned earlier that team work is important part of what we do, and I am lucky to have a great manager and be part of such a friendly and supportive team. We all help each other out when needed and the office environment is second to none.”
