We know that long term value comes from seeing success as a part of a bigger picture, encompassing people, the economy and the environment. Incorporating good principles and a culture of sustainability into all aspects of our business creates more value for our clients, have more engaged employees and be a part of more sustainable economies. It's also what differentiates us from our competitors.
Real sustainability addresses economic, social and environmental issues. This includes fair access to opportunities for all, human rights, healthy communities, an engaged workforce, ethical business practices, climate change, and availability of natural resources. All balanced with economic growth and profitability.
Our success as a company and our ability to make a meaningful difference means that we have to consider the impacts of our business in all of these areas. Our sustainability programme maps out how we can apply our capabilities and resources to address this across four areas: Community, Environment, Marketplace and Workplace.
We are certified to ISO 14001 and committed to minimising our impact on the environment. As a provider of recruitment services rather than products, we recognise that our work may have a direct and indirect effect on the local, regional and global environment. We are committed to reducing any harmful effects on the environment and promoting the understanding of sustainability in its broadest context. All our contractors are encouraged to work with us and be part of our plan to help achieve our green initiatives and reduce harmful effects on the environment through our Contractor Assignment Green Code.
We also ask all our suppliers to sign up to our Code of Conduct, to further support our sustainability credentials.
Since 2015 we have supported The Woodland Trust, pledging woodland dedications to represent our people placements. As a result of our growing success, three acres have already been dedicated; in Berkshire, Greater Manchester and Warrington.
